Charlotte L. “Cookie” Shoup, 75, of Bulger, died Saturday, December 30, 2017.
She was born October 3, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Gilbert and Dorothy Ebner Arbuckle.
On July 1, 1960, she married Norman Leroy Shoup, who died October 10, 2015.
Known as “Cookie,” she was an independent caregiver. She would help anyone who needed it. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; they meant the world to her.
Surviving are a daughter, Deeann (Todd) Mercier of McDonald; two sons, John Shoup of Bulger and Steven (Pamela) Shoup of Steubenville, Ohio; a sister, Nancy Davis of Carmichaels; a brother, Gilbert Arbuckle of Peters Township; a sister-in-law, Janet Arbuckle of Moon Township; eight grandchildren, Ashlee and Amanda Speicher, Jonathan, Tyler, Jacob and Dahlia Shoup and Keith and Ashley Mancinelli; and four great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Willow Speicher and Jason and Daniel Shoup.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, January 4, in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald, PA 15057. Inurnment will take place at a later date in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nation Funeral Home Inc., McDonald.
