Kenneth M. Kelso

Kenneth M. Kelso, 82, of Driftwood, formerly of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017, in his home.

He was born November 7, 1935, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Kenneth C. and Clara Mae Plance Kelso.

Mr. Kelso graduated from Cecil Township High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1955.

He worked for Bell Telephone Co. from 1957 until his retirement in 1996.

Mr. Kelso was a member of the Moose, American Legion and several sportmen’s clubs. His favorite pastime was having a drink and shooting the breeze with his friends.

Surviving are his first wife, Jeannette Rainey; his children, Cecelia Whittenberger, Kenneth Kelso and Melanie Lowther; a stepdaughter, Laurie Irwin; three sisters, Jean Milbower, Janet Curti and Evelyn Hill; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a brother, Joseph, and his second wife, Peggy Lou Dillon.

At Mr. Kelso’s request, there will be no viewing. A memorial gathering will be held in his honor at a date to be determined this spring in Driftwood Saloon and Grill.
