James Delbert Lundy

James Delbert Lundy, 87, passed away December 28, 2017.
He was a resident of Chambersburg who was originally from Coal Center and grew up in Roscoe.
He was a son of the late Delbert and Sarah Lundy of Roscoe.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife, Nelda Tinley Lundy; brother Joseph Lundy; and granddaughter Amy Lynn Lundy Cruz.
He is survived by two sons, Tim Lundy and wife Rose and Keith Lundy and wife Kim; two grandchildren, Jason and Braya Lundy; five great-grandchildren Helena, Ian, Iker, Mason and Jackson; brother Ray Lundy and wife Hope; niece Nalene Bigley; and great-nephews Connor and Garret.
Also surviving are his second loving wife, Sara “Sally” Lundy; seven stepchildren, Bill Gaskill, David Gaskill and wife Bertha, Dan Gaskill and wife Sherri, Joe Gaskill, Rick Wright, Renee “Shelly” Geho and Ron Wright and wife Dee; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
He was a corporal in the Korean War. He proudly served as a member of the Honor Guard at American Legion Post 22 in Charleroi.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved to chop wood. He was a scoutmaster who taught young boys to become good men.
He was a machinist by trade at Lee Norris in Charleroi and then Frazier Simplex of Washington until he retired.
