She was a member of West Alexander Presbyterian Church, where she was a former deacon. She was an avid volunteer in her community and involved in many church activities.

Her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, macramé crafting, dancing and playing cards. She loved spending time at Lake Seneca Resorts (her second home), boating and water sports. She watched the Pittsburgh Steelers and was an avid fan.
