Betty L. Garrison, 92, of Dilliner, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 4, 2018, in her home, with her loving family by her side.
She was born January 31, 1925, in Riverside, Morgantown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Everett and Adeline Hakin Cross.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed looking after the needs of her family.
Mrs. Garrison was a faithful Pentecostal for many years.
Surviving are three children, Judi Gibson and companion Shirl Jacobs of Nemacolin, Paul M. Garrison and wife Christine of Morgantown and Thomas Mark Garrison and wife Krista of Waynesburg; a daughter-in-law, Patty Fowler of Dilliner; four grandchildren, Robert Gibson and companion Billie, Yvonne Burns and companion Jestin, Terry Fowler Jr. and Sherri Parsons and husband Jason; six great-grandchildren, Felicia, Erica and husband Colton, Ashtin, Mickaela, Cory and Cody; four great-great-grandchildren, Paisley, Paxton Paul, Megan and Milachi; a sister, Constance VanSickle of Georgetown, Texas; and her loving and compassionate caregivers, Christy and Tisha.
Her husband, Thomas M. Garrison, passed away February 6, 1979. Also deceased is a son, Terry L. Fowler, who died in 2003.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Monday, January 8, in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, with the Rev. Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Dilliner.
