Brett Michael Goodwin, father, son, brother and lifelong resident of Scenery Hill, died unexpectedly Friday, January 5, 2018, at the age of 31.
Surviving are parents Donald Goodwin and Debra Rice Goodwin; children Breydon, age 10, and Brendon, age 8; paternal grandmother Henrietta Goodwin; and maternal grandparents William and Peggy Rice.
He was a brother of James Watson (Chris) and Donny Goodwin (Amy). He enjoyed his nieces and nephews, Chase, Ashton and Ty Watson, Cole Goodwin and AJ McKita, and he will be dearly missed by his immediate family, many cousins and numerous friends.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Donald J. Goodwin.
Mr. Goodwin was born August 31, 1986, in Scenery Hill. He enjoyed farm life, tending to animals, fishing and dirt bikes.
He graduated from Bentworth High School in 2004. He spent his adult life discovering many professions from auto body repair and excavating to water transfer services for a local fracking company.
Mr. Goodwin will be remembered for his unsurpassed devotion and love he had for his children, Breydon and Brendon.
Private services were held Monday, January 8, in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent as part of a trust set up on behalf of his children to 1327 Daniels Run Road, Scenery Hill.
