Concetta Prandini
Concetta “Jean” Prandini, 89, of Meadow Lands, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 9, 2018, in Canonsburg Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
She was born November 25, 1928, in Slickville, a daughter of the late Baldassar and Anna Russo Saieva.
Mrs. Prandini was a homemaker and member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
Prior to raising her children, she was employed at the former Continental Can Co.
Mrs. Prandini loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking shows, knitting and crocheting and made a great batch of wedding soup. She was a member of a senior citizens center and liked playing in a bingo club with friends.
On October 1, 1949, she married John Prandini, who passed away in April 1993.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her three beloved daughters, Ann C. (Larry) Garner of Washington, Marsha J. (Dennis) Nagy of Meadow Lands and Kimberly L. (David) Antel of Palm Coast, Fla.; a brother, James Saieva of Muse; three sisters, Rose Guerreri of York, Lily Popich of Muse and Mary Kurnik of York; eight grandchildren, Heather Hrutkay, Shaun Hrutkay, Adam Nagy, Sara, Mallory and Matthew Antel and Kylie and Holly Garner; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a brother, Alphonso “Dutchie” Saieva, and two sisters, Libby Lombardo and Carmella Schwimmer.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 13. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
