Thomas D. “Tom” Varner, 63, of Claysville, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
He was born February 26, 1954, in Washington, a son of Laura Adams Varner of Washington and the late Kenneth Varner.
Mr. Varner was a 1972 graduate of Trinity High School.
He was an electrician for more than 30 years at Washington Steel
Mr. Varner coached Little League baseball in Prosperity and met with his coffee club daily at Eat’n Park. He was a people person who loved to socialize and spend time with family and friends.
On June 13, 1974, he married Terry L. Hughes, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lori Varner of Washington; a son, Thomas D. Varner of Washington; three grandchildren, Brian McClain, Nathan Harris and Dorian Harris; five siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
