Stanley Kuzlinski

Stanley Kuzlinski, 93, of Rices Landing, died Monday, January 15, 2018, in Morgantown (W.Va.) Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born May 28, 1924, in Arnold City, a son of the late Mike and Katherine Kuzlinski.

His wife, Julia Juracko Kuzlinski, died in 2017.

Mr. Kuzlinski was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served as a squad leader in Company L, 157th Infantry in Italy, France and Germany, where he earned his Combat Infantry Badge, four Battle Stars and a Purple Heart for wounds suffered August 27, 1944, in France.

After the war, he worked as a miner at Gateway Mine. He was a proud member of United Mine Workers of America.

Surviving are a son, Rudy Juracko (Wilma) of Mt. Morris, and several grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers and three sisters.

Private funeral services will be held at a later date in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township, with full military honors accorded by American Legion Post 400, Carmichaels, and the U.S. Army.

Arrangements are entrusted to Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., Carmichaels.
