Joan Greenslate, 80, of Burgettstown, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born July 5, 1937, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Boni Loncaric.
A graduate of Union High School, Burgettstown, she worked for American Foods in Slovan, Petrucci’s Market in Burgettstown and retired from St. Moritz Cleaning Service in Robinson Township, where she was a supervisor.
Mrs. Greenslate enjoyed cooking and baking.
Her husband, Robert J. Greenslate, passed away July 25, 1996.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Greenslate Jr. and wife Angela of Bulger and Eric J. Greenslate of Clinton; six grandsons, Robert III, Evan, Ethan, Eric II, Michael and Justin Greenslate; two great-granddaughters, Madeline and Aleah Greenslate; and a brother, Nick Loncaric of Bulger.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a daughter, Mary Lou Greenslate, who passed away in 2006; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Loncaric.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, with the Rev. Kenn Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
