Mary Petrisek Behanna, 99, formerly of Bentleyville, died Wednesday afternoon, January 17, 2018, in Thorpe’s New Dawn Personal Care Home, Charleroi.

She was born August 24, 1918, in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late George and Julia Getto Petrisek.

On February 2, 1939, she married Clarence Behanna, who died June 17, 1995.

Surviving are three children, James Behanna (Dorothy) of Harker Heights, Texas, Mary Ann Price of Waldorf, Md., and Paulett Banks of Ann Arbor, Mich.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Mary Alberta Behanna, Francis Behanna Jr. and his daughter, Brooklyn Behanna, Dawn Pettit and her son, Zachary Pettit, Jamie Behanna and his son and daughter, Brayden and Emma, Jo Ann McClanahan, James Behanna Jr. and Daniel Behanna; a brother, Max Petrisek of Lancaster; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Behanna of Bentleyville; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, Francis; two sisters; and seven brothers.

Friends are welcome from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Monday, January 22, in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, with services following visitation at noon, with Pastor Barbara Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thorpe’s New Dawn Personal Care Home, Activities Fund, 400 Fourth Avenue, Charleroi, PA 15022.
