Joanne L. Watson, 88, of Washington, passed away peacefully Friday, January 19, 2018, in her home.

She was born November 28, 1929, in Champaign, Ill., a daughter of the late James Leslie and Ethel Shearer English.

On August 18, 1950, she married Robert D. Watson, who passed away December 17, 2004.

Mrs. Watson was a member of South Hills Community Baptist Church. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star.

She had several interests, including collecting cookie cutters since 1950, camping, painting and gardening.

Surviving are her children, Allen Dale Watson (Valerie) of Library, Kathleen Ann DeThomas (Edward) of Washington, Janet Lee Minehart (Mark) of Butler, Deborah Lynn Mayberry (Samuel) of Washington, Dianne Sue Tota (Ralph) of Ontario, Canada, and Daniel James Watson (Darla) of Washington; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and a nephew.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a brother, Robert English, and a grandson, Jonathon Zachary Watson.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 23. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
