John Boni Jr., 90, of Burgettstown, passed away Friday morning, January 19, 2018, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
He was born June 21, 1927, in Burgettstown, a son of the late John and Josephine Zuccaro Boni.
A 1945 graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, he served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Boni was a member of Christian Assembly Church on Shady Avenue in Burgettstown. He helped build the church as a teenager and continued a career as a home builder.
He is survived by three children, Valerie Gray and husband Paul of Dublin, Ohio, Linda Martin and husband Greg of Burgettstown and Kevin Boni and wife Roberta of Cherry Valley; a daughter-in-law, Patty Boni of Burgettstown; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, John Boni III; five brothers, Deno, Rocco, Art, Codiz and Henry Boni; and two sisters, Wilma Froats Nickolay and Mary Loncaric.
To honor Mr. Boni’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Burgettstown Senior Citizens Association, 200 Senior Way, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
