Walter F. Lemley
Walter F. Lemley, 84, of Poland, Ohio, passed away Monday morning, January 15, 2018, in Hospice House, Poland.
Mr. Lemley, known as “Wally,” was born August 11, 1933, in Mt. Morris, a son of the late Fred J. and Hazel Donley Lemley.
He graduated from Mt. Morris High School and later moved to the Youngstown, Ohio, area to work in his brother-in-law, Kenny Furman’s service station.
Mr. Lemley was an auto mechanic for Kenny’s Sohio in Youngstown for over 20 years, North Jackson Car Care, and at Wallace Oil Co., from which he retired in 1995.
He was a member of Christ Church Presbyterian in Youngstown.
Surviving are two brothers, David (Becky) Lemley and Donald (Nancy) Lemley, both of Mt. Morris, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, the former Dorothy Mae Scott, whom he married September 23, 1961, died September 28, 2015; three brothers, James Lemley, Jack Lemley and Bob Lemley; and two sisters, Carrie Lee Furman and Ailene Kennedy.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service held at a later date.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512-2198.
