Pauline A. Mihalich

Pauline A. Mihalich, 89, of Latrobe, formerly of Monessen and South Huntingdon Township, died Friday, January 19, 2018, in Brookdale Senior Living, Latrobe.

She was born December 31, 1928, in Marianna, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Yurkovich Razum.

Mrs. Mihalich grew up on a farm in Fallowfield Township and raised her family in Monessen. Whenever the topic of birthdays came up, she always delighted in exclaiming she was probably the only person in the room who could always look forward to a birthday “this year,” being a New Year’s Eve baby.

She was a 1946 graduate of Charleroi High School.

Mrs. Mihalich was active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and St. Anthony’s Girls Sodality. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church.

She relished her role as a wife, mother and homemaker and was an accomplished baker and seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, George and Mary Razum and Ernst Razum.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 67 years, retired President Judge Gilfert M. Mihalich; sons Leonard Mihalich and Dr. Janice Dominico of Ruffs Dale and Gil Mihalich and Joanne Fuhrer of Bentleyville; daughter and son-in-law Gail and Brian Lever of Princeton, Mass.; granddaughters Lori and husband Jason Levin and Lisa and husband Chris Quinn; two great-grandsons; two sisters, Lillian Taylor of Monessen and Katherine and husband Ronald Zukauckas of Fallowfield Township; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com, where a blessing service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 24, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 44 PA Boulevard, Monessen. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
