Wilma Ann Wood Humphreys passed away December 28, 2017, in Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, Palmer, Alaska.
She was born in 1951, a daughter of the late William and Mildred Carey “Midge” Wood. She was raised in Washington.
After meeting the love of her life, Tom, they married and moved to Wasilla, Alaska, in 1982. With their two boys, Chad and Adam, they had many adventures in hunting, fishing and snow-machining.
Mrs. Humphreys was part of a bowling league, and she and her husband played softball for many years.
She discovered stained glass and cross-stitch, making beautiful items she shared with family and friends. Her cross-stitch pictures are so fine, they appear to be paintings when hung.
Mrs. Humphreys always made room for people in her house, in her heart and at her table. She called all the boys “her” boys. She loved “card night” and taught many a newbie the ins and outs of rummy.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a grandson, Rye.
Surviving are her husband, Tom; her sons, Chad (Lisa) and Adam (Shannon), and their boys, Reed and Chance; two sisters, her twin Wilda and Joetta; a brother, Buddy; and many other family and friends.
No services are planned at this time. Her ashes will be spread at a later date in a place she loved.
