Concetta Terling

Concetta “Connie” Terling, 91, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, January 28, 2018, in Evergreen Assisted Living, Washington, with her dear family by her side.

She was born March 2, 1926, in Slickville, a daughter of the late Frank and Rose Saieva Tatano.

Mrs. Terling was raised in Muse and lived most of her life in Canonsburg.

A graduate of Cecil High School, she was employed by Harry M. Stevens at The Meadows Racetrack, GEM Distributing for 20 years and, prior to her retirement, with Sears Service Center in McMurray.

Mrs. Terling was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and Business and Professional Women, both in Canonsburg.

Always a giving and happy person, she always enjoyed being with her many family members and friends.

On June 9, 1951, she married Frank T. “Toby” Terling, who passed away September 22, 1993.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her four beloved children, F. Thomas Terling of Canonsburg, Denise Terling of Washington, Kathaleen Hanna of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Gary (Jamie) Terling of Washington; three grandchildren, Hanna Terling, Dylan Shultz-Terling and Dakota Terling; a sister, Mary (Roy) Leichty of Canonsburg; two brothers, Charles Tatano of Muse and Sam (Patricia) Tatano of Canonsburg; a sister-in-law, Irma Tatano of Canonsburg; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Gregory David Terling, who passed away May 17, 1973; three brothers, Patsy, Alfonso “Turtle” and Angelo Tatano; and three sisters, Rose Tatano, Sara Dohanich and Lillian “Necca” Gasbarrini.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 31. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
