James E. Singer passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018, in UPMC- Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born October 11, 1947, a son of the late Bill M. and Lois Jean Singer.

Mr. Singer was retired from Ferro Corp., formerly known as Drakenfeld.

He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, flying his plane and loving and caring for his pets.

Surviving are two brothers, Bill M. Singer of Washington and Dave Singer and wife Debbie of Avella; four children, Jackie Arent, Shawn Singer, Mike Singer and Noah Singer; two nephews, David Singer of Steubenville, Ohio, and Daniel Singer of Portland, Maine; and several aunts, uncles and cousins from Missouri and South Carolina.

At his request, there will be no visitation.
