Opalene M. Hoover, 86, of Cecil Township, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, in her home.
She was born December 11, 1931, in Toney, Ala., a daughter of the late Dennis E. and Lona Drugger Legg.
Mrs. Hoover was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening and fishing.
Surviving are two sons, Earl Hoover and Edward Hoover, and a daughter, Mildred “Millie” Harmison, all of Cecil Township; four grandchildren, Michelle McElhany of Belle Vernon, Steven McElhany and Brandon Harmison, both of Cecil Township, and Sara Hoover of Washington; and five great-grandchildren, Ciera McElhany and Aiden, Jaden, Ari and Bella Messina.
Deceased are her husband, Edward M. Hoover Sr.; two sons, John and Richard Hoover; a sister, Mayme Hoover; and six brothers, Howard, Robert, Marvin, Bruce, Milton and Price Legg.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road (Route 50), Cecil, where services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, with Pastor Gary Chorpenning officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
