Ruth Irene Howland Metz, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018.
Born a leap year baby February 29, 1932, in New York, she was a daughter of Leon and Versa Howland.
A homemaker, Mrs. Metz was the wife of the late Raymond James Metz.
She was Christian.
Mrs. Metz enjoyed spending time with family, attending her children’s, grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s athletic and school events and solving jigsaw puzzles.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a grandson, Graham Metz, and a granddaughter, Jessica Goroncy.
Surviving are three sons, Ralph (Melissa) Metz, Barry Metz and Raymond Metz; three daughters, Cathy (Michael) Narehood, Ada (Richard) Goroncy and Gena (Matthew) Weight; six grandchildren, Marcus Narehood, Heather (Robert) Sommerkamp, Sarah (Daniel) Hancock, Ellen (Joseph) Golubski, Deidre Weight and Joshua Weight; and seven great-grandchildren, Brooke and Skyla Sommerkamp, Madesyn Goroncy, Valerie and Annalise Hancock and Lydia and Moira Golubski.
Private interment was held at the convenience of the family in Washington Cemetery.
