Irvin Lee Mt.Joy Jr., 51, of Carmichaels and formerly of Clemmons, N.C., died unexpectedly Sunday, January 28, 2018.

He was born January 11, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Irvin Lee and Carol Ann Fartely Mt.Joy.

Mr. Mt.Joy was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and worked as a pest control exterminator and postal worker in Lexington, N.C.

He enjoyed fishing, carpentry work, computer work, art and NASCAR. Mr. Mt.Joy was Roman Catholic and a caregiver for his mother and grandmother.

Surviving are his paternal grandmother, Mary Frances Bakewell Mt.Joy of Carmichaels; uncle Richard Mt.Joy of Carmichaels; six aunts, Dalene Watson of Carmichaels, Joyce Busti and husband Pete of Crucible, Mary Jo Corcoran of Carmichaels, Kim Nath and husband John of Valencia, Shaneen Krebs and husband Chris of Gibsonia and Patricia Dreczniak of Fredericksburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, John Edward Mt.Joy and Irvin Lee Mt.Joy, who died in infancy, and an aunt, Paula Huff.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are entrusted to Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005.
