Jeffrey Horton Lyle, 65, passed away December 25, 2017.
Born November 19, 1952, in Pittsburgh, he was the first of four sons of Robert D. and Joan W. Lyle. He was raised in Peters Township, Washington County.
He graduated from Peters Township High School in 1970 and from Texas Christian University (TCU) in 1974 with a bachelor of arts in accounting. After graduating from TCU, he gained employment in Glenwood Springs, Colo., with Midcontinent Coal, where he met his wife, Megan Thornton Lyle.
He had a lifelong affinity for community theater and was active in Toastmasters International.
He courageously dealt with multiple sclerosis for the last 34 years of his life.
In 2006, he returned to Mars and later to Cabot.
He is survived by brothers Jonathan, Jason and Jay, and former wife Megan Thornton Lyle.
