Margaret Jo Oblock
Margaret Jo Oblock, 91, of Weirton, W.Va., formerly of Venice, died Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Victorian Manor, Oakdale.
She was born December 5, 1926, in Kansas, a daughter of the late John and Lorraine Marker Kennedy.
She was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed walking, exercising and dancing. She was a graduate of Braman High School in Oklahoma, where she played basketball.
She worked as a psychiatric aide for Woodville State Hospital.
Surviving are daughter Patty (Mickey) Morris of Longview, Texas; three grandchildren, Michael (Colleen) Morris of Seattle, Wash., Joshua Allas of North Carolina and Zachary Allas of Weirton; and daughter-in-law and caregiver Sheila Allas of Weirton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Oblock; son Michael Allas; infant son James Allas; grandson Matthew Marker Allas; brother John “Jack” Kennedy; and sister Shirley Nash.
At her request, there will be no viewing. A private graveside service was held at Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory, with Pastor Gary Chorpenning officiating.
