Ruth Anna Blake, 68, of Cameron, W.Va., formerly of Greene County, passed away at home Friday, July 6, 2018, with her loving family by her side.
Born September 14, 1949, in Clarksburg, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert Leo and Pauline Olive Dean McGlumphy.
Ruth was a 1967 graduate of Cameron High School. She lived in Ninevah for 20 years upon returning to her family home in 2003. She was a member of Solid Rock Assembly of God in Moundsville, W.Va.
Ruth was employed by Rolling Meadows Nursing Home as a certified nurse’s aide for 30 years, until her retirement in 2015.
On April 25, 1969, she married Donald Eugene Blake, who survives. They were happily married for 49 years.
Ruth enjoyed reading the Bible, collecting angels, bird watching, walking in the snow and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Donald E. Blake Jr. of Cameron, Jeffrey Allen (Dusty) Blake of Waynesburg, Scott Ray Blake of Cameron, Kimberly Michele Trout of Center Township and James Aaron (Jodie) Blake of Needmore; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Sandra (Van) Flesher of Mingo Junction, Ohio; two brothers, Larry (Patty) McGlumphy of Birchwood, Wis., and John McGlumphy of Cameron.
In addition to her parents, deceased are granddaughter Elizabeth Ruth Blake and great-grandson Levi Cole Blake.
