Felice Libertini
Felice Libertini, 91, of Low Hill, died peacefully Friday, July 13, 2018, in his home, following a brief illness.
He was born October 26, 1926, in Forme, Provincia dell’Aquila, Italy, a son of the late Antonio and Finizia Leonetti Libertini.
Mr. Libertini was a 1944 graduate of Centerville High School.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He also served on Centerville Borough Council.
Felice was a member of Sons of Italy Frank Ricco Lodge 731, Brownsville, and American Legion Post 705, Centerville.
On September 16, 1948, he married Theresa Marie D’Agostino, who passed away March 31, 2007.
Over the years, he worked as a conductor on Pennsylvania and Penn Central railroads, was employed by Vesta Mines, was a foreman at Mine No. 60 in Ellsworth and retired as a Pennsylvania state mine inspector for the Department of Deep Mine Safety.
Surviving are two daughters, Midge Yuratovich (Thomas) and Anita Gaster (Warren), both of Low Hill; two sons, James Libertini (Susan) of Seaford, Va., and Mark Libertini of Low Hill; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Albina Belsenti (Sam) of Vesta No. 6; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are a sister, Amalia, who died in infancy, and a brother, Vincenzio.
Services are private and under the direction of Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street, Fredericktown. Interment will be in Westland Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 705, Centerville.
