Marcella D. Persin, 66, of Fredericktown, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 14, 2018, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born July 13, 1952, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late John W. and Margaret Skobel Ondash.

She was a 1970 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School.

Marcella retired from East Bethlehem Township Municipal Authority.

She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Fredericktown campus, and American Legion Post 391 Ladies Auxiliary, Fredericktown, and was an avid volunteer with Fredericktown Chamber of Commerce.

Marcella loved painting landscapes, cooking, shopping and playing with her granddaughter.

Surviving are her husband, John Persin of Fredericktown; a son, John G. Persin (Carol) of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Leanne Thomas of Monroeville; a granddaughter, Quinn Thomas of Monroeville; two brothers, John Ondash (Pamela) of Cranberry Township and Paul Ondash (Rebecca) of Evansville, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, Gregory and James Ondash, and a sister, Patricia Ondash.

Services are private and under the direction of Greenlee Funeral Home Ltd., 42 Bank Street, Fredericktown.
