Joyce M. Bewick Truffa, 69, of Canonsburg, formerly of Monongahela, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in her home.
Born November 30, 1948, in Monongahela, she was a daughter of late of Scott and Nettie Sala Bewick.
A 1966 graduate of Monongahela High School, Joyce began working as a teller for the former Parkvale Savings and Loan Bank in Pittsburgh, before it was bought by First National Bank, where she continued working in its McMurray branch. Prior to moving to Rhode Island and then to Canonsburg, she was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela.
In her spare time, she loved to play any type of casino games on her phone, and she still talked about the gratitude she felt by the overwhelming support she was showed from her friends after having open heart surgery in 2013.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest Truffa Jr.; son Mark C. Truffa (Amanda Clark) of Canonsburg; four stepdaughters; a stepson; and special cousin Joseph (Jackie) Sala. She also leaves behind her dog whom she adored, Louie Dog.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, where services will be held at noon Saturday, July 21. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
