Michael S. Oshetsky Sr., 41, of Carmichaels, died unexpectedly at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born December 10, 1976, in Washington, a son of Stephen J. and Suzann L. Palyas Oshetsky.
Michael was a 1994 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School and attended University of Pittsburgh.
He was employed as a butcher and meat cutter at Steve’s Packing in Jefferson.
Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, music and watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers.
On July 17, 2010, he married Kristina Wilson, who died April 27, 2014.
Surviving are a son, Michael S. Oshetsky Jr., at home; a daughter, Suzann Dorcus Oshetsky, at home; a stepdaughter, Geneva Lynette Knizner of Marianna; a brother, Stephen Oshetsky, wife Lauren, and their children, Gabriella, Addison and Elaina, all of Delmont; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased, in addition to his wife, are his maternal grandparents, Mathew and Dorcus Palyas; his paternal grandparents, Ed and Kathryn Oshetsky; and two uncles, Paul Palyas and Donald Oshetsky.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a blessing service at 5 p.m. Monday, July 23, in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, with the Rev. John M. Bauer officiating.
