Eriek Joseph Wyland, 39, died after battling addiction for many years Friday, July 20, 2018, in Butler County.

He was born January 27, 1979, in Washington, a son of Vicki Nakoneczny Wyland and the late David Wyland.

He was a 1997 graduate of Trinity High School and formerly worked as an electrician. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking, camping and the Steelers. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always made those around him laugh.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his son, William David Wyland; brother Joshua (Annamarie) Wyland; nephew Louis; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom will cherish the fond memories they made before his addiction took over.

Funeral services will be private and are entrusted to Piatt-Barnhill Funeral Home, Washington.
