Robert W. Courson II

Robert W. “Bo” Courson II, 71, of McMurray, formerly of Washington, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018, in his home.

He was born August 24, 1946, in Washington, a son of the late R. Wylie and Helen Vandever Courson.

Mr. Courson was born and raised in Faith United Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the session and was very active in church affairs.

He was a 1964 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1968 graduate of The College of Wooster. He also attended University of Akron.

He worked for Calgon and Calgon Carbon for 29 years. He went on to start his own business, BRD Solutions, a human resource company where he served as president.

Mr. Courson was an avid golfer and member of Lone Pine Golf Club.

On July 30, 1966, he married Elizabeth Lou “Betty” Menhart, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert W. (Tania) Courson III of McLean, Va.; a daughter, Kelle L. (John) Cunningham of McMurray; a brother, Douglas (Anna) Courson of Beverly, Ohio; and four grandchildren, John Wylie “JW” and Kyra Cunningham, Robert Wylie Courson IV and Benjamin Wyatt Courson.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Marlene “Toots” Bryant.

Visitation and services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith United Presbyterian Church, 900 East Beau Street, Washington, PA 15301.

Arrangements are entrusted to Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors Inc., Charles R. Piatt, owner/supervisor, Lawrence K. Donovan, director.
