Martha Ann Fierschnaller Huskin
Martha Ann Fierschnaller Huskin, 92, of Richeyville, formerly of Filbert Heights, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 12, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born July 29, 1925, in Filbert, a daughter of the late Frank and Louise Peters Fierschnaller.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Huskin; a son, Donald R. Huskin; and siblings, her identical twin sister Mary Andalora, Edward Fierschnaller, Agnes Gould and Gertrude Tausel.
“Mischievous” was a word used to describe her by family and friends. She found humor in telling naughty jokes in her “little old lady way” everywhere she and her beloved twin went. But please do not fear, she would attend Mass and volunteer at St. Procopius Church. A mother to all, she showed her love with her joyous laughter, home-style cooking and trinkets she found during shopping excursions. She will be honored for years to come by her family and friends as they share stories of her many adventures.
Martha is survived by a daughter, Kathy Galderise of Richeyville; two granddaughters, Barbara Stepp (Jason) of Suffolk, Va., and Roxanne Wray (David) of Scenery Hill; and four great-grandchildren, Donald and Abby Stepp and Ashton and Alden Wray. Martha was loved by many, including her numerous nieces and nephews and her “other daughter,” Jaynie Smith.
Martha’s family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., the time of services, Sunday, June 18, in Kish-Fabry Funeral Home Inc., 1 Legion Street, Republic, PA 15475, with Deacon Barry Krofcheck officiating. Interment will be private.
