Karen Marie Borza Wegner
Karen Marie Borza Wegner, 55, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018.
A private memorial service was held on the coast of North Carolina Sunday, June 10, 2018.
Born in Milwaukee, Wis., Karen is survived by her mother, Brunetta Zanolla Borza of Washington; a brother, Ronald Borza (spouse Joanna and children Joseph, Alexandra and Derek) of Harrisburg; her husband, Mark Wegner of Fort Mill, S.C.; and children, Sherri Wegner Young (spouse Ian Young), Nicholas Wegner and Alyssa Wegner; as well as many other relatives and friends in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Indiana, Michigan and Illinois.
Karen was a fun-loving, outgoing and charismatic woman. She loved music, dancing and shopping. In her younger years, prior to graduating from Whitnall High School (Class of 1981), she was an active member of Milwaukee Tamburitzans.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Road East, Fort Mill, SC 29715, where Karen was an active member.
