Peter Joseph “Pete” Jafrate, 97, of Washington, formerly of Benwood, W.Va., passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in his home.

Pete is survived by two children, Linda (David) Harton and Richard (Silvia) Jafrate; sister Jennie Magestro; brother Angelo Jafrate; three grandchildren, Beth Harton, David (Kristen) Harton and Beatriz Jafrate; several nieces and nephews; and extended family from all over the world.

Family and friends will be received from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Altmeyer Funeral Homes, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, W.Va., where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 2, with Father Arul Anthony officiating. Interment will take place in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
