Mary Beth Verholtz
Mary Beth Verholtz, 47, of Strabane, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, in her home.
She was born March 19, 1971, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Donna Stevens Carr of Canonsburg and the late Clarence “Dick” Carr.
Mary Beth was a 1989 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and graduated with a degree in business from ICM.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
Mary Beth was especially proud of owning her own business, Mary Beth’s Pet Sitting, and enjoyed working at Washington Area Humane Society. She loved taking care of her animals, especially her mother’s dog, Schnapps.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the beach. She was a devoted daughter, wife and mother.
On September 21, 2002, she married J.D. Verholtz, who survives.
Also left behind to cherish her memory, in addition to her husband and mother, are two beloved sons, Dylan and Matthew; a brother, David Carr of Port Orange, Fla.; father-in-law Don Verholtz of Canonsburg; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her father, are a sister, Jennifer Carr, and an uncle, Ron Stevens.
At Mary Beth’s request, private family visitation and services were entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, Darla Tripoli, LFD, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Interment followed in Oak Spring Cemetery, Chartiers Township.
