Dorothy Jane Moore
Dorothy Jane Moore, 85, of Washington, died Friday, March 2, 2018, in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg.
She was born July 31, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of the late Thomas R. and Martha Dunbar Clemens Bell.
Mrs. Moore was a homemaker. She loved attending church and reading her Bible and the newspaper.
On August 1, 1964, in Washington, she married Howard F. Moore, who died June 3, 1997.
Surviving are a son, James Wilbur (Valerie Martin) Moore of Burgettstown; sister, Martha (Matthew) Fisher of Washington; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two daughters-in-law, Tammie Moore and Bobbi Jo Moore.
Deceased are a son, Harold Moore; three brothers, Thomas, Frank and David Bell; and six sisters, Margaret Bell, Mary Harris, Christina Bell, Edna Bell and two twin sisters who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from noon to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating. Interment will follow in North Buffalo Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice.
