Charles William “Bill” Hart, 90, of Dilliner, formerly of Delmont, died Friday, March 2, 2018, in Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Hart was born October 27, 1927, in Carmichaels, a son of the late John Talmadge and Helen Guess Hart.

He is survived by a son, John A. Hart (Kelli) of Waynesburg; two stepdaughters, Karen Bradmon (Charles) of Carmichaels and Joyce Drew (Gary) of Greensboro; a grandson, Joel Morris (Becky); four stepgrandchildren, Michael Bradmon (Leanne), Dana Swensen (Mikael), Ashley Golden and Christopher Drew; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Dakota and Levi Bradmon and Brooklyn Golden; a great-great-grandson, Hunter Morris; a brother, William Whipkey; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Hart; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his first wife and the love of his life, Jacqueline Park Hart (died 1981); second wife Gloria Townsend Zuzik Hart (died 2013); and siblings Robert Russell, Franklin, James E. Hart and Martha Whipkey.

Mr. Hart was a 1945 graduate of Cumberland Township High School.

He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War, and was a member of the “Old Guard” who guarded President Truman and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Mr. Hart was a member of First Christian Church in Carmichaels and sang in the choir.

He was a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a former member of Carmichaels and Delmont volunteer fire departments, where he was assistant chief.

Mr. Hart worked for many years for Consolidated Natural Gas Co. in Delmont.

He enjoyed traveling in his Coachman camper and attending rallies exhibiting old engines and tractors.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Wednesday, March 7, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M. Lesako, funeral director/supervisor, Robert Lippencott, director, with the Rev. Reagan Fike and the Rev. Bob Mooney officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township, by Carmichaels American Legion Post 400 honor guard.
