Birdie Jennings, 72, of Washington, died Friday, March 9, 2018.

She was born June 15, 1945, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Arthur and Hallie Benjamin Sims.

Ms. Jennings was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Canonsburg.

She enjoyed playing bingo, reading, cooking and especially loved spending time with her family.

Prior to her retirement, she worked at RCA for 20 years, and later at Hankison for 10 years.

Surviving are daughters Nickol (Sidney Vaughn) Jennings of Washington and Thresa M. (Paul) Wetzel of Bethel Park; stepdaughter Brooke Taylor; stepmother Betty Sims; brother Harrison Benjamin; sisters Carol Sims and Deneen Sims; seven grandchildren, Marvelle (Daniel), Jesse, Raven, Sydney, Turquoise, Noah and Montana; and five great-grandchildren, Danyel, Phoenix, Paris, Albany and Legend.

In addition to her parents, deceased is a brother, George Crooks.

There will be no public visitation and services are private.
