Betty Florence Hupp, 92, of Washington, died Friday, March 9, 2018, in Premier Washington Health Center, Chartiers Township.

She was born July 17, 1925, in Ten Mile, a daughter of the late Eugene Tharp and Wyonna Montgomery Tharp.

She graduated from Trinity High School.

A member of Amity United Methodist Church, she was a homemaker who loved animals and was an avid Steelers fan.

On March 15, 1943, she married Walter B. Hupp, who died October 2, 2015.

Left to cherish her memory are a son, Jan Edward Hupp of Washington and her “grandpuppy,” Lucius, whom she loved.

Deceased are a son, Jeffrey Allen Hupp, and a sister, Evelyn Jean Rice.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, with the Rev. Nelson Boone officiating. Burial will follow in Amity United Methodist Church Cemetery.
