John G. Tucker III

John G. Tucker III, 91, of Washington, died Monday, March 19, 2018, in Transitions Healthcare, South Strabane Township.

He was born May 14, 1926, in Washington, a son of John G. Tucker Jr. and Anne I. Palko Tucker.

Mr. Tucker was a 1943 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and a 1948 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a seaman first class during World War II.

Mr. Tucker was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church.

He first worked at Procter & Gamble as a salesman and later went on to work at Rockwell International. Mr. Tucker finally became employed for 15 years at Brockway Glass No. 7, from where he retired.

Mr. Tucker is survived by several cousins.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington. Private burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.

Arrangements are under the direction of Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., corner of Wilson and East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.
