Sydney Lorraine Lightfoot, 55, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born August 1, 1962, in Washington, a daughter of the late Delores Chandler Lightfoot, Sidney W. Lightfoot and Leroy Booker, whom she considered her second father.

Ms. Lightfoot owned and operated a daycare for many years. She also worked for a job training agency in Washington and Donora.

A fun-loving person who loved to laugh, she loved kids and enjoyed life and bringing smiles to everyone. Other favorite pastimes included doing puzzles and going to bingo and the casino.

Surviving are her fiancé, Bryan Ruth of Pittsburgh; a son, Stuart L. Johnson Jr. (Stacie) of Uniontown; two daughters, Serena L. Johnson (Chris Hampton) of Pittsburgh and Terra-Shea Humphrey (Harlan) of Pittsburgh; a brother, James Lightfoot (Helen Whiteside) of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Stacey Lightfoot of Washington, Sharon Lightfoot-Dyson (Robert) of New Jersey and Brenda Lightfoot of Washington; four grandchildren, Shamar Lee Wade, Kaylee Yanosky, Stuart L. Johnson III and Samuel Johnson; a dear friend, Stuart L. Johnson Sr. of Pittsburgh; nieces and nephews Chante Dyson, Amari Lightfoot, Landi Smith and Lynzi Smith; and many other loving friends and family.

Deceased is a son, Sidney M. Johnson, and a nephew, Orlando Anderson.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 and 4 to 5 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, March 25, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
