Marianne Stiles

Marianne Stiles, 68, of Washington, died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness.

She was born September 30, 1949, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William and Rita Bush Smithdas.

Mrs. Stiles graduated from South Hills High School in 1967.

For 38 years, she was co-owner/operator of Stiles Florist in Washington, where she worked alongside her husband, Joe. The flower shop was her life; she worked hard every day to please her customers with beautiful floral arrangements for whatever the occasion may have been.

She also enjoyed her dogs, especially her favorite Chihuahua, Spot.

Her husband, Joseph J. “Joe” Stiles Jr., died in August 2011. The couple had been married for almost 40 years.

Surviving are a stepson, Jude (Janice) Stiles of Oakdale; two stepdaughters, Lisa Rugh of McKees Rocks and Diane Stiles; a brother, David (Kathleen) Smithdas of Penn Hills; a sister, Eileen Rudolph of Florida; six stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and two nephews.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, Mrs. Stiles was preceded in death by a brother, William Smithdas.

At the request of the deceased, all arrangements are private and under the direction of Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.
