Judith “Judie” Brennan, 71, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 24, 2018, in her home.

She was born November 27, 1946, in Norwalk, Ohio, a daughter of the late Bonita Richey Hanlin.

She was an active member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, where she served as a past deacon, volunteered serving luncheons, involved with active Christian seniors and also was a member of the bell choir. She enjoyed reading, weaving and loved the outdoors, bike riding and kayaking.

Prior to her retirement, she worked in the payroll department for American Eagle Outfitters. She also worked for Pat’s Hallmark in McMurray for many years.

On August 13, 1994, she married her husband, William E. Brennan, who survives. Also surviving are her son, Jeffrey (Tracia) Kunovic of Mars; daughter Melanie Diecek of Lawrence; brothers Ronald (Sue) Hanlin of Amherst, Ohio, and David Hanlin of Elyria, Ohio; sister Nancy (Mark) Ballas of Triangle, Va.; grandson Jacob Kunovic; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, deceased is her sister, Sandra Spencer.

She will be missed by all who knew her for her cheerfulness, generosity, sense of humor, compassion, hard work and her devotion to family, friends and God.

The staff of Bridges Hospice provided her with excellent and compassionate care.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 28, in Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church. Services will be held at noon in the church, with Pastor Peggy Shannon and Pastor Don Coleman, officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorial contributions be made to Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church, American Cancer Society or Washington Area Humane Society, in her name.
