Bonnie Lynn Troth McKita, 61, of Carroll Township, died Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Premier Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born June 28, 1956, in North Charleroi, a daughter of the late Julius and Mary Vitkovic Troth.
She was a 1974 graduate of Ringgold High School and received associate’s degrees in applied science and office administration from Westmoreland County Community College, having attained a 4.0 grade-point average all four semesters. She was named to the president’s list and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society. She worked for Mon Valley Medical Associates in Monongahela as a transcriptionist and YMCA in the wellness center and taught yoga classes. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monongahela.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Dennis J. McKita; son Blake Nolan McKita of Monongahela; brother Julius Gary (Michele) Troth of Portage, Miss.; two sisters, Marlene (Jack) LaForte of Monessen and Linda (Johannes) Rohjan of Beauford, S.C.; her mother-in-law, Margaret McKita of Monongahela; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, deceased is her father-in-law, Jack E. McKita.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Dalfonso-Billick Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services, 441 Reed Avenue, Monessen. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, in the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Dawes officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
