Marie W. McWilliams
Marie W. McWilliams, 99, of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018, in Premier Washington Health Center, Chartiers Township.
She was born May 9, 1918, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Thomas and Hazel McConnell McWilliams.
She worked for the former Taylor and Pike Pharmacies, retiring in 1980.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Canonsburg, where she belonged to Gleaners Club.
She became guardian to and helped raise her nephews, Tom and Ken, following the death of their parents. Her family was most important to her; her family was her joy.
She enjoyed quilting.
Surviving are two nephews, Ken McWilliams (Sandy) of Canonsburg and Larry McWilliams (Karen) of Florida; three nieces, LaDonna Knoblock (Frank) and Lynette McWilliams, both of Decatur, Ala., and Rae Lynn McWilliams of Canonsburg; grandnieces and nephews, Bill McWilliams (Katie), Cayce McWilliams, Joslyn Bilitski (Barry), Whitney Solvay (John) and Derrick Knoblock; and six great-grandnieces and nephews.
Deceased are a nephew, Tom McWilliams, and three brothers, William Earl, Thomas Lloyd and George M. McWilliams.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Wednesday, March 28, in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, with the Rev. Debra Rogosky officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, 161 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317.
