Helen Wherry Zgorliski, 90, of Eighty Four, North Bethlehem Township, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018, in her home.

She was born March 27, 1928, in Scenery Hill, a daughter of the late George and Mary Donner Wherry.

Helen was a 1946 graduate of Ellsworth High School and a 1949 graduate of Washington Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Zgorliski worked as a registered nurse and later became a homemaker.

She was a lifelong member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville campus.

Helen enjoyed sports, hockey, football, baseball, game shows, crossword puzzles, bird-watching, gardening, canning and baking.

Surviving are five sons, Thomas Zgorliski (Hope) of Bentleyville, Len Zgorliski (Karen) of Scenery Hill, Rick Zgorliski and Gary Zgorliski, both of Eighty Four, and Bob Zgorliski (Odette) of Canonsburg; a sister, Ann Fidazzo of Cokeburg; eight grandchildren, Renae Myers (Charlie), Michelle Bush (Mark), Amy, Adam and Autumn Zgorliski, Sarah Hunter (Jon) and Andrew and Daniel Zgorliski; eight great-grandchildren, Colton Cecil, Dalton Miller, Nicole Grimes, Jacob Bush and Brandon, Christian, Lucas and Matthew Meyers; and a great-great-grandchild, Violet Grimes.

Deceased are her husband, Raymond Zgorliski, who died January 11, 2000; a daughter, Mary Jane Cecil, who died January 2, 2015; a grandson, Nick Cecil; and three sisters, Betty Kile, Barbara Weir and Georgia Ruth Kotchman.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, with the Rev. Jeremy Mohler officiating. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery.
