Mary Catherine Manion, 95, of Amity, formerly of Washington, died Sunday, April 29, 2018, in her home.

She was born January 3, 1923, in Cumberland, Md., a daughter of Bretz C. and Anna M. Soethe Ketterman.

Mrs. Manion was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School and a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church.

She was married for over 50 years to Charles R. Manion, who died August 21, 1998.

Surviving is a daughter, Kathleen (Charles) Rockwell of Amity; three sons, Dennis (Judy) Manion of Waldorf, Md., Thomas (Kathleen) Manion of Rolla, Mo. and David (Becki) Manion of Steubenville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Manion was the last of her immediate family.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, Mrs. Manion was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Graves and Patricia Riley; grandson Todd Manion; and one great-granddaughter, Josephine Manion.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 5, in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington, with the Rev. Dan Waruszewski as celebrant. Interment will be private in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions may do so to Washington City Mission, 84 West Wheeling Street, Washington.
