Clyde Bane Jr.

Clyde Bane Jr., 93, of Ellsworth, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, in the home of his son.

He was born March 10, 1925, in Bentleyville, a son of Clyde and Ethel Huffman Bane.

For over 44 years, Mr. Bane worked for Bethlehem Mines, Mine 51 in Ellsworth as an equipment operator.

He was a member of Eagles Post 1809 in Bentleyville.

His wife, Mary A. Farrier Bane, died June 1, 2004. They were married December 20, 1948, in Oakland, Md.

Surviving are son Gary C. Bane (Harriet) of Bentleyville; grandchildren Diane Trotta (Adam) and Gary Bane Jr.; great-grandchildren Clayton Ball and Bethany and Caleb Trotta; brother Norman Bane of Ashtabula, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers Harold “Punkin” Bane and James Bane and sister Edna Lowther.

Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, with Pastor Andy Scott officiating. A procession will follow to Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, for a committal service.
