Michael Louis Rivetti, 59, of Canonsburg, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 4, 2018, in Heritage Valley Health Systems, Beaver.

Mr. Rivetti was a 1977 graduate of Hopewell Senior High School and earned his associate’s degree from Triangle Technical Institute, Pittsburgh.

On May 14, 1988, in St. Titus Church, Aliquippa, he married the love of his life, Sherry Lynn Pallaria, who survives.

In addition to his mother and wife, surviving are his only beloved son, Matthew Michael Rivetti of Canonsburg, who was his pride and joy; his sister, Denise Rivetti-Moccia of Aliquippa; his in-laws, with whom he shared an especially close relationship, Thomas Pallaria Jr. and Rosemarie of Canonsburg; and his goddaughter and niece, Kaitlyn Moccia.

He is also survived by his “baby girl,” Cami Lynn Rivetti, his beloved poodle.

He was employed as an electrical designer for Andritz Metals, Southpointe, at the time of his passing.

Michael had many interests and passions in his life. He and his wife, Sherry, were inseparable and spent a great deal of time enjoying each other’s company. He was known among his wide circle of friends and family as a passionate and consummate wine maker. He was very generous with his homemade wines and gave bottles away to family, friends and even strangers he met. He was a terrific family man with beautiful blue eyes, and he had a unique laugh. He was a joy to be around and everyone had a lot of fun whenever they were with him.

His greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family, watching his son play travel hockey for many years and watching the Pittsburgh Penguins play.

Family and friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner/supervisor, and Darla A.
