David M. Sink Sr.

David M. Sink Sr., 73 of Bentleyville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Born December 21, 1944, in Monongahela, he was a son of the late Clair E. and Helen M. Litwin Sink.

After his graduation from Charleroi Area High School, Dave attended Arizona State University on a football scholarship until being injured in his second year. He worked many years as an assembler for the Sony Corp. in New Stanton. A member of St. Katherine of Drexel Parish in Bentleyville, he loved to garden and since 1976, he umpired both youth baseball and softball leagues for over 43 years around the Mon Valley area.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Ludwick Sink, who he married July 6, 1967; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David M. Jr. and Jeanne Sink of Uniontown and Darrin Sink of Bentleyville; daughter and son-in-law Dannette and Jonathan Watson of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Liam Watson and Hunter and Alyssa Lane; great-grandson “C” Lane; brother Robert Sink of Largo, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law Annette and Regis Leach of Monongahela and brother Walter McNary of Waynesburg. Also left to cherish his memory are his two buddies, dogs Dakota and Riley.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Walter McNary.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 11, in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767. Interment will be private.
