Moleta Kay “Mo” Puthuff Teegarden, 59, of Waynesburg, died at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018, in Washington Health System Greene, Waynesburg, following a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born Thursday, March 5, 1959, in Munich, Germany. A daughter of the late Robert Edwin Puthuff Sr. and Meryle Arlene Wilson Puthuff.

Mrs. Teegarden was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 Auxiliary in Waynesburg and a former member of American Legion Post 330 and the Waynesburg Eagles Club Aire 598. She traveled to many states as a child but settled to live her adult life in Waynesburg. She enjoyed making birdhouses, crafting, adult coloring books, daily crossword puzzles and collecting teddy bears and frogs. She retired as the manager of the Get Go, formerly a BP Station, in Waynesburg.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Teegarden, whom she married December 13, 2000.

Also surviving are two sisters, Susie Puthuff, of Waynesburg and Ann Marie Cox and husband Barry of Carmichaels, brothers Robert E. Puthuff Jr. and wife Patty of Rocky Point, N.C., and Darin Puthuff and fiancée Dawn Talkington Calderone of East Liverpool, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Her two dogs who she loved, Wilbur and Sheba, are left to cherish her memory.

Deceased are brother David Michael “Boog” Puthuff and her two “fur babies,” Sally and Daisy. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Friends and family are invited for a celebration of life from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, to the Waynesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Social Hall, 445 East Lincoln Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370. The family ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370, or the American Cancer Society PA Division Inc. S/W Region, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205-4620. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Steet, Waynesburg, PA 15370, are in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private.
